SK Design Group is a globally minded Chicago-based design firm that specializes in modern interiors, but also embraces aspects of contemporary and classic design. SK engages in both commercial and residential interior projects where the greatest goal is to transform the energy of a space. A lighting and furniture line is in the development stages, and SK will soon be offering custom furniture for interior projects. As a firm, SK has been in business for 4 years in the city of Chicago and has a diverse and talented team with a variety of skillsets and experiences.
is a managing partner of SK and is a self made designer who has a strong background in project management and is astute in all aspects of design from concept to realization. He ran his own firm, SAH Interiors, before partnering to create SK. Scott is a down to earth Dutch fellow with an incredible well of knowledge when it comes to curating a custom space. His passion for design and his dedication to clients is second to none.
is the other half of the dynamic duo at SK. She is a partner of SK and completed her bachelor's in Interior Architecture at Columbia. She also spent two and a half years working at 555 International where she was fortunate to learn from the best in the industry. Katerina (most call her Kat) is a Chicago native with Greek roots and draws a lot of her inspiration from travels abroad. She is precise, gets down to business, and has an innate ability to make a space dance with the finer details.
started as the Interior Design Assist at SK and since then she has become the right hand for Interior work. She received her BFA in Interior Design at Harrington College of Design. Kim is a Chicago native who has a love for quality hand craft (often found working on custom jewelry). She has a technical eye and has a hand in almost every project that comes through SK.
is an Industrial Designer at SK and specifically works in the area of custom furniture and lighting design and assists with interior concepts, branding, and social media. In Summer of 2016 She lived in Copenhagen for 9 weeks and studied furniture design under some of Denmark's most renowned cabinet makers and recently received a Bachelor's in Design majoring in Industrial Design at UIC.
